Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program of Montgomery County, Maryland. Pre-service training is an important part of our screening process for prospective volunteers. Our next training session will begin in April 2010. Topics explored during the pre-service training include information about child abuse and neglect, child development, and the child welfare and court systems. The roles and responsibilities of a CASA are complex; therefore, it is required that prospective volunteers attend all the sessions. If you are interested in attending training, please complete a Volunteer Application and return it to the CASA Program office. After we receive your application, a CASA staff member will call to schedule an interview.
